Q: Why do you charge more than the salons & spas?

A: A question I'm sure that has crossed your mind, but you may not feel comfortable asking! Here are a few reasons why;

  1. Time- Time spent travelling to and from bookings, time at the booking (60-90 minutes on average), time cleaning my kit and brushes, time booking appointments and answering emails.

  2. Kit costs- I use proffesional high grade products such as Jane Iredale Mineral Makeup, MAC Cosmetics, Urban Decay, Tarte, Becca, YoungBlood Mineral Makeup, Cinema Secrets, Stila and Smashbox. Also, I use professional brushes; Jane Iredale & Zoeva.

  3. Business tools- Business costs such as this website, an accounting program that allows me to send you an invoice, credit card reader, and legal fees.

  4. Experience- With over 9 years makeup artistry experience, you are recieving top quality service, technique and application methods. Also, I am an artist who practises proper sanitization procedures to ensure your health and safety during your appointment. (Brushes washed and dried after each service, disposable mascara & lip wands used, all products are scrapped onto a palette to avoid cross contamination, and my entire kit is sanitized after each booking.)

Q: Do you travel to me?

A: Yes! That's the beauty of my company, I travel to you! Whether that be your home, hotel, photo shoot, venue or an outdoor location. I have 2 makeup kits and a chair that allow me to set up almost anywhere! I serve all of Vancouver Island and Prince George. Please email to inquire about my travel fees, ashleevmakeup@gmail.com.

Q: Do you charge taxes on top of your prices?

A: No, the tax is built into the price to keep things easy for those paying with cash.

Q: How can I pay you?

A: Full payment is due at the time of booking. I am happy to send you an invoice that allows you to pay with credit card, or we can setup an email money transfer.

Q: What if my bridesmaid/mom/friend decides the day of my wedding that they would like their makeup done?

A: If time is on our side that day, I'm happy and honoured to accomodate everyone I can! Payment can made that day via credit card, cash, or cheque.

Q: Do I have to pay extra for lashes?

A: No! Lashes are included in all my services.

Q: What if I don't want the consultation appointment?

A: The consult is so incredibly important to ensure you look and feel your best on your wedding day! I take into consideration your skin type, time of year for your wedding, ceremony time, all to ensure your makeup not only looks flawless but lasts.

Q: How far in advance should I book my services with you for my wedding?

A: It is ideal to book 8-10 months in advance. Full payment for the bride is required at the time of booking in order to reserve that date. No date wil be held without a payment. Bridesmaids & mothers of the bride & groom can book at a later time.
